The decision to buy a Rolex is as much an emotional one as it is rational. (We’re speaking relatively here. Spending thousands on outdated technology that provides significantly less functionality than your average smartphone is an issue for another article.) You can either buy what you love or buy for investment potential. Sure, there may be some overlap, but if it comes down to choosing X or Y, where X is something you love, and Y is perhaps a better investment, buy X. I never regret a purchase but I often regret selling! I'm really liking the Seamaster Pro ceramic on the older 1610/930 bracelet. And at roughly 1/2 the msrp of a new 116610LN there are definitely no regrets!
Regret selling my first Sub but needed the cash. Got an amazing deal on an Explorer MK1 and traded it for another 16610. Now I regret not keeping my MK1. I loved the simplicity of the Explorer.
